Can I join this study?
There are various qualifying criteria to meet if you want to join the UP0110 Study. The most important ones are as follows:
- You are 18 to 65 years of age
- You have been diagnosed with atopic dermatitis at least 12 months ago
- Eczema currently covering at least 10% body surface area (10% is slightly more than the whole surface area of one of your arms)
- You have recently used topical medications (e.g. creams) for atopic dermatitis (in the past 6 months) that have not worked
- You do not have a history of diabetes or inflammatory bowel disease (includes Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis)
If you meet these criteria, feel free to take the pre-screener. If the answers indicate that you may qualify, and you are interested in taking part, find your nearest study center. You can then contact the study center to find out more about taking part.
The study is open to people of all gender identities, as well as all ethnic and racial backgrounds. Certain racial and ethnic groups continue to be underrepresented in clinical research. Ensuring diversity in clinical research studies may help to determine whether potential treatments are well tolerated and effective for as many people as possible.
What is informed consent?
Before having any of the study tests you must agree to and sign an Informed Consent Form (also known as an ICF). This document explains the study in detail, including potential risks and benefits, as well as your rights and responsibilities. You will be given time to read this, discuss it with others, and ask any questions you may have.
Is the UP0110 Study right for me?
Taking part in clinical research requires careful thought. Before you decide whether to participate, make sure that you understand any potential risks and commitments involved. There is no guarantee that you will benefit from taking part in this study.
To help you decide whether to participate in the UP0110 Study, in addition to talking with the study team, you may wish to discuss it with those in your support network (partner, family, friends) and/or your regular doctor.
Also remember that clinical studies are voluntary − you do not have to take part. If you do join, you are free to leave at any time and for any reason, with no penalty to you or your standard healthcare.
All clinical research studies are run according to strict guidelines. The safety and well-being of participants are priorities at all times during the study.
